Cookies

Cookies are bits of information stored on a device or browser that helps keep track of the time spent on the app or the website. This allows us to monitor when a user is interacting with our site and app. If the user has not interacted for a fixed period, the application ends the session logging the user. Cookies do not store any user personal information.

An ISP (Internet Service Provider) automatically assigns the IP Address to devices using the internet. Most websites and apps automatically track the IP Address of a device. We utilize the IP Address to track when a user visits our application, this helps us calculate the usage of our application and to track any server related problems or issues.

Camera

Our application requires access to a device’s camera (iOS or Android) to allow the user to perform a mobile check deposit. The application will not require access to the camera until the user visits the check deposit tab and attempts to capture the check image.

Touch ID/Face ID (iOS Devices)

On iOS devices, to allow a user to log into the application using biometrics we interface with Apple’s biometric authentication module. All biometric information is securely stored on the device. PointBank Digital Banking has no access to any of this data.

PointBank Digital Banking stores a user’s User ID and Password in an encrypted format within our database. When a user opts to save his/her User ID and Password on the device to prevent either answering security questions on each login or utilizing biometrics to login, this information is stored within the app and in an encrypted format.
